Sign of the Week "The Legacy"

Some programs win championships.
Alabama built a legacy.

This week’s featured sign was inspired by the history of Alabama football and the generations of fans who have watched that legacy grow year after year. Instead of focusing on a single moment, this piece was designed to represent the full timeline of championship success that has become part of Crimson Tide history.

The layered design combines natural wood tones, darker burned edges, and bold crimson accents to create contrast and depth throughout the piece. One of the details that stands out most is the vertical championship timeline running along the side of the state shape. Each year adds another chapter to the story, turning the sign into more than just wall décor — it becomes a visual reminder of an era of dominance.

The large crimson “A” was intentionally designed to sit front and center while the elephant artwork blends into the background layers, giving the entire sign a dimensional look depending on the lighting and viewing angle.

Pieces like this are always enjoyable to build because they combine strong team identity with layered craftsmanship. From the wood grain showing through the back layer to the raised elements on the front, every layer changes how the final sign comes together.

For Alabama fans, the years on this piece probably need no explanation at all.

They already know the story.

Roll Tide.
